Getting invited to an interview means you've passed the first hurdle - your application must have made a good impression.

Now you need to prepare yourself for the interview to make sure you don't waste the opportunity.

  • Be prepared… make sure you know your CV thoroughly, have researched the company (nature of business, clients, employees) and understand what they expect from the job specification
  • Be clear on your directions… map out your route. There is nothing worse then turning up late!
  • Identify your key strengths and weaknesses making sure they are relevant to the position and business related
  • Once in the interview, give a firm handshake, maintain eye contact and beware of your body language. Listen carefully to all questions and be specific with your answers. It is always good to have a few questions to ask as well
  • Be confident, enthusiastic and speak clearly, allowing your personality to shine through!
  • Finally thank the interviewer at the end of the interview and reiterate your interest in the position

Most importantly, remember to smile!
