What do you do and where do you work?

I have recently been promoted from Runner to Engineer at Smoke & Mirrors

Can you describe what you do on a day to day basis?

Being a Runner is great fun. Although the work can be quite tiresome you get to interact with a lot of people and learn loads. When I was running I would carry out lots of different tasks including taking clients tea and lunch, taking out the trash and running errands. On some days however I got to go on shoots and even travel to Paris to take a tape!

How did you hear about the job?

I received a call from Om and the first day I signed up to Yellow Cat they got me a week’s work at a big Post Production company. As it was my first running job I was told what to expect and given some tips on how to impress. It was a really interesting and enjoyable job as well as a great learning experience.

When my contract ended Yellow Cat got me a 3 week contract at Smoke & Mirrors and since then I haven’t looked back. I was later offered a permanent job as a runner and have now been given the opportunity to become an Engineer.

How would you describe your experience with Yellow Cat Recruitment?

Fantastic! They got me a job immediately after I signed up which has lead to me starting my career in an industry I love.
