What do you do and where do you work?
I am HR Officer at Publicis
Can you describe what you do on a day to day basis?
As HR Officer every day is very different which I really enjoy. I work closely with the HR Manager and line manage the HR Assistant. The majority of my time is spent supporting or guiding line managers within Publicis on various issues such as performance and absence management, disciplinaries and guidance around policies and procedures. When time permits there are several HR projects to be worked on – for example creating, reviewing and updating policies, creating / improving the induction literature and process, and reviewing the UK Group Benefits. I also help to ensure people get paid the right amount on time!
How did you hear about the job?
I found an advert on totaljobs.co.uk which had been place by the guys at Yellow Cat Recruitment. It was worded really well and I was immediately interested. I applied, received a call and before I knew it I was going for an interview!
How would you describe your experience with Yellow Cat Recruitment?
The Yellow Cat team are very professional with a personal touch. I really appreciated all of the guidance/support I got from Jonny. My expectations were managed and I was always kept updated even if just to tell me that he had no news. Past experience with other agencies has been very different! I’m really enjoying my new role and I wouldn’t have got here if Jonny hadn’t put in so much effort.
